ILG School is a non-profit, private international school located in Pristina, Kosovo. As an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) Continuum School, we offer a high-quality, inquiry-based education in English to local and international students from over 40 countries. We proudly deliver all three IB programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP).

Our mission is to nurture the intellectual, emotional, physical, and creative potential of each student, empowering them to make a positive impact in the world.

We are accredited by Cognia, a respected non-profit organization that conducts rigorous evaluations of schools worldwide. ILG School is also licensed by the Ministry of Education of Kosovo and is an active member of several prestigious educational associations, including the Association of Central European Schools (ACES), the Central & Eastern European Schools Association (CEESA), and the Association for the Advancement of International Education (AAIE). Our Executive Director currently serves as the President of the Kosovo International Schools’ Association (KISA).

We are an NGO institution founded by parents and teachers with a focus on the development of an independent and happy child, ensuring that all our students ‘love to learn’.

Founded by parents and educators, ILG School is built on the belief that children should grow into independent, happy individuals who truly love to learn. Together, our School Board and staff have worked with dedication to create an ideal environment for learning and growth. As part of our commitment to continuous development, our campus has expanded significantly in recent years. In 2017, we opened a new canteen building, and further renovations and constructions have transformed the school into a modern, dynamic space.

Our three-building campus features:

  • One library

  • Two gyms

  • One cafeteria

  • Music, art, design, and multimedia rooms

  • A science laboratory

  • Outdoor sports areas and a playground

These facilities are designed to support a holistic learning experience, encouraging students to engage fully with their curriculum and surroundings.

Since our accreditation, we have continued to work closely with our international partners to uphold our high educational standards and maintain the warm, inclusive, family-like atmosphere that defines ILG School. As an IB World School, we are committed to expanding our offerings and growing with our students, remaining a place where everyone truly loves to learn.

We are also committed to inclusivity and ongoing reflection. Our diverse student body—85% of whom are international—benefits from a rich academic program that supports both English language learners and native speakers. Through our English Language Acquisition program, we provide targeted support to help all students thrive. At the same time, we recognize the importance of nurturing local identity, which is why Albanian Language and Literature is part of the curriculum for native speakers.

In our Elementary School, French is offered as a second language, while in Secondary School, students may choose between French and German. Additional language learning opportunities are available through our after-school activities program.

To ensure a data-informed approach to learning, we implement the MAP® Growth assessment—a computer-based tool that adapts to each student’s individual level and tracks academic progress over time. We also use the Developmental Reading Assessment (DRA) to assess students’ reading levels and guide our literacy instruction. These tools allow us to personalize the learning experience and provide targeted support to help every student reach their full potential.

At ILG School, we believe that education is a partnership. Parents play a central role in the life of the school, whether through the Assembly of Members, where they contribute to governance; on the School Board, where they help shape budgeting and policy decisions; or through ILG Community (ILG-CO) and other school committees, where they provide essential support and community spirit. We welcome and encourage all parents to be actively involved and to share their expertise and vision for the school’s continuous improvement.
