What is more important
Than sending your children to a school where they love to learn?
The more that you read, the more things you will know.
The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.

Grade Six through Grade TEN

Middle School consists of Grades 6 through 10. Subject areas available to all students are Design, English Language and Literature, Individuals and Societies, Science, Mathematics, Performing and Visual Arts, and Physical and Health Education (PHE). Depending on the student’s Language Profile, pathways have been created to ensure all students are learning at least two languages during the school day.

Language Acquisition classes include English Language Acquisition for limited English proficient students, French and German for non-Albanian mother tongue students. Albanian mother tongue students will have the opportunity to take both English Language and Literature and Albanian Language and Literature, in order to meet the Ministry of Education requirements for rigorous Albanian language development. After-school courses exist for French and German language development for students wishing to develop an additional language.

Personal Project Statement

The aims and objectives of the Personal Project are focused on the development of lifelong, growth-minded learners. In undertaking this project, students will be challenged by their own limitations and their own imaginations, while they balance their Grade 10 coursework against personal interests. The Personal Project can be the fulcrum upon which academics and personal interests rest when students choose topics of great personal interest to them. The process will be rewarding as well, as they will discover a variety of things about their own learning styles, as well as have the opportunity to fully explore a topic in which they are most interested.

As ILG School is the only school in Kosovo authorized to offer the IB Middle Years Programme (IB MYP). Follow the guidelines for practice implementing the IB MYP projects as required according to guidelines and requirements from the IB Middle Years Program Project guide (2021).
