What is more important
Than sending your children to a school where they love to learn?
The more that you read, the more things you will know.
The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.

Amanda Calecas – MYP Coordinator, MYP Individuals and Societies and DP History

lease allow me to introduce myself, my name is Mandy Calecas and I am from New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. I am thrilled to be joining the team at ILG as the MYP Coordinator.

For the past several years I have been serving as Head of Primary and Early Years at Albanian College Durres, where I lead a team of dedicated and diverse educators who deliver high-quality and holistic education to students from different backgrounds and cultures. I am a certified and highly qualified educator, and I apply this knowledge and these skills to support the social and emotional well-being of our students and staff. I have over three years of experience in this role, and I have previously worked as a Teacher and a Coordinator in various IB and international schools across Europe, South America, and Africa. I have created and implemented courses and curricula that foster early development, creativity, and inquiry-based learning.

I am passionate about creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic excellence, intercultural understanding, and global citizenship. I feel privileged to be a part of educating the future of Kosovo and thank you for allowing me the opportunity to be a part of your children’s educational journeys.
