What is more important
Than sending your children to a school where they love to learn?
The more that you read, the more things you will know.
The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.

Reid Pierce – Head of Academics and DP History Teacher

Reid Pierce joined ILG in January 2025 as the Head of Academics. Reid will support the academic development and coordination across all grade levels. Reid is originally from the US but after living in Australia for many years, he now calls Sydney home. He came from the Woodstock School in North India where he was the Director of Admissions. Before that, he was at United World College (UWC) Mahindra College where he taught DP History and ToK and was also the Professional Development Coordinator and a house parent for five years.

Reid has a BA in History, an MA in Eastern Classics, a JD in Law, and an MBA in Global Entrepreneurship. He was previously a lawyer and management consultant before shifting into education. Reid has since earned his PGCEi from the University of Nottingham and is currently completing his MEd in Education Leadership from Harvard Graduate School of Education graduating in May 2025.

Reid also teaches DP history. He brings a wealth of experience and a strong passion for the subject, and we are confident that students benefit greatly from his expertise. We are thrilled to have him on board and believe he will make a positive impact on both the curriculum and the overall academic experience for our students.
