Daorsa Uka – Administration Officer

Daorsa Uka is an Administration Officer and After School Activities (ASA) Coordinator at ILG School. She is passionate about supporting students and creating a welcoming, safe, and positive school environment where every student feels valued and encouraged to grow.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering and has completed training in Child Safeguarding and Financial Responsibilities. In her role, Daorsa works closely with students, families, teachers, and staff to support the smooth daily operation of the school.

As ASA Coordinator, she organizes a wide range of activities that encourage students to explore their interests, develop new skills, build confidence, and enjoy learning beyond the classroom. Outside of school, Daorsa is a proud aunt to 17 nieces and nephews, which adds to her love for spending time with children and watching them learn and grow.

ILG is Kosovo’s first International Baccalaureate World School!

  • Pristina, – The Pristina-based International Learning Group (ILG) School has been further authorized by the prestigious international foundation “International Baccalaureate” (IB) for the Middle Primary Years Programme (PYP). The ILG School was established in 2004 and is now officially authorized as the first and only school in Kosovo providing the internationally recognized educational programmes of the International Baccalaureate. This important milestone was achieved following the implementation of a rigorous authorization process that lasted for several years. The IB – and now the ILG School – provides an education fit for a globalized world: the IB emphasizes the personal development of students who shall benefit from being well prepared for college life across the world.

Besiana Pllana – Director of Finance and Operations

Besiana Pllana holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Informatics and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Financial Markets and Banks at Riinvest College in Prishtina.

Ms. Pllana has been part of ILG School since August 2017, progressing through several administrative and financial roles before joining the Senior Leadership Team as Head of Finance and Operations in February 2021. Ms. Pllana as Director of Finance and Operations oversees Finance, Human Resources, Administration, Operations, IT, Security, and regulatory compliance. She has also served as Acting Treasurer during the school year 2022/2023 and plays an important role as a liaison between ILG School, Kosovo institutions, and international organizations. 

From January to July 2026, Ms. Pllana served as Acting Executive Director, leading the School for seven months during a period of leadership transition and working closely with the Board Chair and Pedagogical Leadership Team on strategic, operational, financial, educational and staffing matters.

Ms. Pllana is committed to continuous professional development and has participated in international conferences and training programmes, including CEESA Conferences in Malta (2024) and Split (2025), IB Lead Category 3 – Leading and Managing Teams, IB PYP Category 3 – Planning for Programme Evaluation, Site Security, Operations & Risk Management with International Schools Services (ISS), CEESA Level 1 & 2 Child Protection Response Team Training, IMEC Child Protection Training (2026), and HR and Compliance Training.

Outside of work, Ms. Pllana enjoys reading, travelling, cooking, and beekeeping.  What she values most about ILG is its diversity and strong sense of community-after many years at the School, ILG truly feels like home.
