As a Kosovar with swiss nationality, I was born and raised in Switzerland. In August 2021 we moved to Prishtina with my husband and our 4 children. I have a Swiss commercial degree and various language diplomas. I speak 5 languages, German, Albanian, English, French and Italian. Languages and foreign cultures are my passion. My leisure activities are traveling, nature, my family, our dog, and passionately boating. I gained my social pedagogical experience in a Swiss clinic as a teacher for children and young people with physical and mental disabilities. As a mother and language teacher, I am impressed by the ILG School’s philosophy of focusing on the children and supporting them individually according to their needs and I am happy to be a part of it.
Mrs. Hasnija (Haska) Prelvukaj-Moesman received her university degree and master in architecture from the University of Pristina and she is currently getting a degree in “Child Care and Welfare”.
Mrs. Moesman’s career in architecture was sidetracked when she had the opportunity to work and live abroad in the Gaza Strip, Solomon Islands, and Sudan.
Mrs. Moesman became involved in an elementary school in Gizo, Solomon Islands, that was accommodated in a UNICEF tent after the 2007 earthquake that hit the island state, as a volunteer teacher. Later, when she moved to Khartoum, she served as library assistant, learning center teacher, substitute teacher, and pre-school homeroom teacher at the Khartoum American School.
In addition, she was the President of the PTA at the same school for four years. This experience laid the foundation for where she is now as a teacher. Mrs. Moesman joined ILG in September 2014 as a Grade 2 Teacher. In March 2020, She took on the role of Team Coordinator for Grade 4 during Virtual Learning.
Ms. Moesman now leads our Daycare Program for 1-3 year olds. Mrs. Moesman is trained in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). Mrs. Moesman and her husband have two children. She loves traveling, as well as gardening and spending time with the family in the family home in Montenegro.
Mrs. Laurie Adele is a highly qualified teacher with a Bachelor of Science in Visual Design and a Master’s Degree in Education. She holds a teaching certificate and a TESOL certificate from California, USA.
Mrs. Adele has been teaching elementary school for over 15 years and has taught in international schools for more than 5 years. She loves guiding students to a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them.
In her free time, Mrs. Laurie Adele enjoys hiking, taking photographs and playing with her cat Daisy.
I Come from Virginia where my family lives. Parents have spent part of their careers abroad which inspired me. I am the oldest of my siblings, a younger brother, and two sisters. I have lived in several different states, Virginia, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Hawaii. I have also traveled to different countries, Italy, France, Kenya, India, China, Mongolia, China, Tailand, and Canada. Always wanted to stay longer, became my goal to work overseas. I am passionate about history and traveling to different parts of the world. I have a BA in History, Masters in education and second Master in History. Gaining these allowed me to reach my career goal of becoming an international History teacher. Currently working on my Ph.D. in history from Liberty University. In my free time I enjoy reading, playing chess, tennis, hikes, watching history movies/shows traveling to different countries and touring museums. I have teaching experience from working abroad in Mongolia, Kuwait, Dubai, and China for the past five years.
Ms. Diellza Jakupi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Mathematics Department from the University of Mathematics and Science in Prishtina, currently, she is working on her Master Degree at UoPeople based in California. She is certified for JAVA Fundamentals and JAVA Advance, following this certification at the beginning of her career she was part of the IT Department at the Public Ministry as an intern.
Ms. Jakupi has been certified as an International Teacher of English ESOL from Chichester College and certified as TESOL/TEFL from the World TESOL Academy. She was part of different Educational Conferences such as CEESAs summits. Since her third year of university, she has taught Math for Primary and Middle School Students at Private centers and at the same time, she served as a Volunteer Math Teacher for other Institutions. Most recently she worked as a Math Teacher at QSI.
Ms.Jakupi is certified for Accounting and Finances and for two years she worked as a Payroll Accountant and Project Accountant for UA Builders and We Work Construction based in New York. Innovation Center of Kosovo ICK was part of her career as well where she worked in Finance Department.
For nearly four years Ms.Jakupi has run her own Math School. Currently, she has 32 Students from different Schools in Prishtina and different countries around the world while teaching them virtually.
Ms. Jakupi is also trained in Developing Mathematical Reasoning and implementing the MYP Curriculum from the International Baccalaureate. She has been part of the different Mathematics workshops both in-person and online. She is part of a Yoga group and loves playing Chess!
Ms. Merita Morina holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Prishtina. She is currently studying for a Masters in English Language at AAB College.Merita is trained in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP).
Ms. Morina worked as an English Language teacher at the British School of Kosova for a number of years, also in a Public Preschool “Shtepija Magjike”, before becoming a freelance language tutor in both English and Albanian. She is thrilled to be continuing her teaching career at ILG School.
Ms. Morina is really proud that, by sharing her teaching knowledge, she contributes to the educational growth of tomorrow’s decision makers.
Mrs. Albulena Beqiri Gjikolli received her university degree in Computer Science from the University of Business and Technology – UBT. She holds a master’s degree in General Pedagogy in Education from the University of Pristina. Albulena joined ILG School in 2011 and feels as though ILG School is her second home.
Albulena started working with children at a young age and while observing their different behaviors decided to seek a career to help them become awesome human beings. She believes that children are a gift and possess diverse talents and capabilities. She considers it a privilege to help facilitate their learning and academic growth. Albulena believes each student learns in their own way and style. She strives to provide a safe and nurturing environment where each student can have the opportunity to experience success and progress. She believes it is her goal to help encourage students to look beyond the four walls of the classroom and view the world around them as a place of learning and discovery. By doing this, she hopes to instill in them a desire to become lifelong learners.
In her family, she is known as a “great chef” because she spends a good amount of time cooking and exploring new recipes, especially for her little son. Albulena loves playing sudoku with her grandfather as it always turns into a fun competition.
Ms. Donjeta Shatri holds a BA degree in Primary Education from the University of Prishtina, Faculty of Education. Ms. Shatri is now trained to teach the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). She joined ILG as the Grade 2 Teaching Assistant in early 2019. Prior to ILG, Ms. Shatri volunteered in the non-governmental organization ‘The Ideas Partnership’ as a fifth grade teacher.
She has worked at American School of Kosova and Bedri Gjinaj Elementary School in Mitrovica, Kosova. Ms. Shatri finds childhood memories are either the fondest ones or the ones that you dread most of all to remember. The force of these memories also suggest that the roles of the teachers are ever so vital in the life of a child. When she is not teaching, she loves doing sports.
Ms. Shatri plays for the Balkan Lynx Rugby Club in Prishtina and she is the coach of the Fushe Kosova Bobcats Kids Rugby Club.
Ms. Albina Ahmeti was raised in Prishtina. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Child Care and Welfare for students in the Early Years age range. Ms. Ahmeti is now trained to teach the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). Ms. Ahmeti has been working with children since she was 18 years old.
She has worked as a teacher in medical high school and as a dental assistant for the last five years. Ms. Ahmeti also worked with the Play For All festival for children. Her career is focused on teaching and she believes that so often that the students you’re trying to inspire are the one that end up inspiring you. Ms. Ahmeti loves dogs and cooking.
Mr Carlos Garcia is a fully qualified teacher. He has received a Bachelor’s degree in pedagogy and a Master’s degree in teaching Spanish for foreigners. He is currently studying another Master’s in the field of education. He has studied in various countries including Norway, Mexico and Spain, his home country.
Mr. Carlos Garcia worked for three years in Ireland as a Kindergarten Montessori teacher. He also held the roles of Spanish teacher and afterschool practitioner. He worked at the American School of Kosovo last year as a K5 teacher and he is happy to join ILG school for the 2021- 2022 school year.
He loves travelling and going to the beach with his family. His passion is sports, especially football, martial arts, and water sports.
