Besnik Prekazi – MYP Individuals and Societies, DP History and Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS) Supervisor

Mr. Besnik Prekazi has more than two years experience as a Social Sciences teacher at Secondary School level. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in Roads to Democracy, an interdisciplinary program combining methods and approaches from Sociology, History and Political Science.

Besnik is a researcher who conducts both quantitative and qualitative research. As a researcher, Besnik, has published several policy papers and has presented the findings at international conferences in Bucharest, Berlin and recently in Crete, Greece.
At ILG he will be teaching MYP Individuals and Societies, DP History and DP Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS) Supervisor.

Laura Delgado – MYP and DP Music

Ms. Laura Delgado was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She started her musical journey at the “Centro de Education Musical Moderna “ (CEMM) where she completed all of her Piano and Music Theory Certifications of the ABRSM, from Grades 1 through 6. Then, Moved to Princeton, New Jersey to pursue her Bachelor’s in Music Education with a concentration in Voice at Westminster Choir College. Laura has worked as a teacher for a variety of grades, from Nursery all the way to grade 12. As a Musician, Laura plays several instruments such as Piano, Ukulele, Cello, and is a Vocal Pedagogue. She has sung various Masterpieces like the Mozart Requiem, Bach’s B minor Mass, and Handel’s Messiah with the Philadelphia Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic under the direction of Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
Holding a love for international teaching, Laura always lived by the
intercultural exchange of experiences and knowledge. Loving how much one can learn from a student and a place as a teacher and a person.

Elizabeth Zans – PYP, MYP and DP Visual Arts Teacher

Ms. Elizabeth Zans grew up in the Commonwealth of Virginia in the United States. She attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she received a BFA and while living in Rome received an MFA from Temple University.

She began her teaching career as a visiting artist in a program affiliated with The Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

She has taught in Indonesia, SE Turkey, and several countries in Africa in IB Programs and across all grades as well as serving as an IB examiner. Elizabeth is a practicing artist who looks forward to sharing her passion for the Arts with her students. She believes all students are naturally creative and that Visual Art encourages students to become lifelong learners who are inquisitive, keen observers of the world around them. She challenges students to question and evaluate information critically, to seek out and explore the links between subjects, and to develop an awareness of their own place in the world.

Jovelyn delos Santos – DP Coordinator, DP Theory of Knowledge, DP Geography and University Counselling

Ms. Jovelyn delos Santos holds a Master of Arts degree in Teaching and a BA in Media Communication. She used to teach at the University level in her home country, the Philippines before she moved to teach in an IB school in Indonesia in 2008. She was the IB Diploma Coordinator and head of language of the same school. Ms. delos Santos has extensive IB training and is an examiner for Theory of Knowledge for the IB Diploma Programme.

 

After her BA, she worked as a journalist in a major broadsheet in her country, the Philippine Daily Inquirer. She went on and taught journalism, development communication and language at the University level before deciding to move to international teaching. Currently, she is a visiting professor for the MA language program of Lyceum of the Philippines.

 

Ms. Delos Santos will be coming to ILG School from her school in Cambodia where she holds the position of director of Model United Nations, language and TOK teacher. She trains middle and high school students in the art of diplomacy, resolution writing and debating. She is passionate about developing students who imbibe the values of tolerance, international-mindedness, caring as well as becoming changemakers in their communities. She also received training to assist students in University admissions, college essay writing, and scholarships.

Michael Bramstedt – MYP Design and Math Teacher

Mr. Michael Bramstedt was raised in Southern Illinois of the United States. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology and a Master of Science in Information Technology. He has taught Math, Science, Computer Science, STEM robotics, 3D design. His entire career has been teaching at the Middle School level and he enjoys supporting your child’s healthy growth and development in four connected areas: physical, cognitive, emotional, and social.

Mr. Bramstedt enjoys building and creating games and puzzles using Legos, Motors and Sensors, 3D printers, and programing projects using Arduino and electronics. 

Mr. Bramstedt is looking forward to joining the ILG family and being part of a warm and welcoming community.

Sandra Mager – EY 1 Teaching Assistant

  1. Sandra Mager came from Berlin to Kosovo with her husband and three children, two of them currently attend ILG and her youngest will join Creche in August 2022. 

 

Sandra served on the School Board for the 2021-2022 school year and was co-secretary. As a parent, board member and now staff member Sandra really will see every side to community of ILG School. 

 

Sandra studied cultural sciences and economics and worked as a corporate communication manager. Since being in Kosovo Sandra decided to change her career to become a teacher!  ILG is delighted to have Sandra work as a teaching assistant in order to gain the experience she needs to gain her German qualifications.

Njomza Neziri – Grade 1 Teaching Assistant

Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature from AAB College. Through her studies in college, she had the opportunity to be an intern in her primary school, then she saw how amazing was to work with children!  During her studies, she decided to promote a local NGO for empowering women, which was held in her home and had its focused to promote Women’s Rights, while she helped them to learn basic reading and writing in English. Njomza worked also as a translator, Project Associate Project Assistant for different NGOs based in Kosovo. She was an ESL teacher for children and adults in Prishtina.  She holds a certificate in Advancing Learning Webinar from Global Teachers Festival 2022. During summer/winter vacations Njomza helps international students with their homework. She speaks English and German.

 

She loves visiting new places and also hiking because that helps her to breathe during the weekend, to start her week fresh and relaxed! 

 

Njomza is currently working with Kamp Kosovo and from September she is super thrilled that has to contribute her experiences as Teaching Assistant at ILG.

 She believes that teaching is the one profession that creates all other professions.

Doruntina Dervishi – Early Years 3 Teaching Assistant

Ms. Doruntina Dervishi started as an intern at ILG school and joined our team as a Teaching Assistant in August 2022. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from AAB College.

Ms.Dervishi worked at Nini’s Education as a Manager/ Lego Education instructor for children’s courses. In this capacity, she was one of our collaborators in after-school activities for almost two years now. 

Ms. Dervishi has a true passion for working with children and helping them progress in all areas of their development. During her studies, she has held various internship positions and worked as a volunteer in NGOs related to youth and children’s activities. She has also attended numerous professional training after graduation. She continuously strives for personal and professional growth and development.

 In her free time, Ms. Dervishi enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, doing yoga, and watching her favorite TV series and movies.

Albina Gllavica – Grade 2 Teaching Assistant

Ms. Albina Gllavica holds a Bachelor Degree in English Language and Literature from the AAB College. She is at the end of her Master’s Degree.

 

Ms.Gllavica joined us as a Teaching Assistant with a high positivity giving her best to our school. She is about to be certified with different pieces of training soon, also she has been part of many types of research about children’s development and holds nine levels of English Language.

 

She is part of our after-school activities enjoying students including team sports.

 

She speaks English, Serbo-Croatian, and a little Turkish.

 

She loves working with children and contributing to their development in the best way possible making them love to achieve and feel ambitious.

Her greatest passion is teaching and being close to students’ needs, so she is pleased to continue her teaching career at ILG School.

 

Contributing to the students it’s the purest lifetime feeling and achievement.
