The ILG School was established in 2004 and is now officially authorized as the first and only school in Kosovo providing the internationally recognized educational programmes of the International Baccalaureate. Johanna Means – Head of Inclusion

Johanna Means is from a small town called Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania (USA). Yes, it is the town that the movie ‘Groundhog Day’ is made after if you have ever seen that movie. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh (USA) with a Master of Education in Mental and Physical Disabilities. Dr. Means has worked in education around the world for 11 years before deciding to further her education, graduating with a Doctor of Educational Leadership with a concentration in Special Education from Gwynedd Mercy University in Philadelphia (USA).

In her personal life, she has a passion for traveling and spending time with her fur-baby, Livy. My philosophy is to live your life with passion. Be passionate about the work you do, the community you serve, and the differences you can make. Educators have such a crucial role in helping students develop a love of learning.

Dr. Means has worked with all ages – including university level. She is looking forward to embracing the opportunity of leading the elementary school for ILG.
