Diellza Jakupi – MYP and DP Mathematics, DP Business Management

Ms. Diellza Jakupi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Mathematics Department from the University of Mathematics and Science in Prishtina, currently, she is working on her Master Degree at UoPeople based in California. She is certified for JAVA Fundamentals and JAVA Advance, following this certification at the beginning of her career she was part of the IT Department at the Public Ministry as an intern.

Ms. Jakupi has been certified as an International Teacher of English ESOL from Chichester College and certified as TESOL/TEFL from the World TESOL Academy. She was part of different Educational Conferences such as CEESAs summits. Since her third year of university, she has taught Math for Primary and Middle School Students at Private centers and at the same time, she served as a Volunteer Math Teacher for other Institutions. Most recently she worked as a Math Teacher at QSI.

Ms.Jakupi is certified for Accounting and Finances and for two years she worked as a Payroll Accountant and Project Accountant for UA Builders and We Work Construction based in New York. Innovation Center of Kosovo ICK was part of her career as well where she worked in Finance Department.

For nearly four years Ms.Jakupi has run her own Math School. Currently, she has 32 Students from different Schools in Prishtina and different countries around the world while teaching them virtually.

Ms. Jakupi is also trained in Developing Mathematical Reasoning and implementing the MYP Curriculum from the International Baccalaureate. She has been part of the different Mathematics workshops both in-person and online. She is part of a Yoga group and loves playing Chess!

Donika Hamiti – Daycare Teaching Assistant/Nurse

Ms. Donika Hamiti joined ILG School as a nurse and a pre-school teaching assistant in 2019. She graduated from the University of Prishtina with a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, and she has almost completed her Master’s Degree in Health Management.

During her studies she has worked in pediatric hospital and she is very happy to be part of this wonderful community and make it not only her job but her passion.

Ms. Hamiti has been working with children for over ten years now and she loves watching and helping children reach their greatest potential. Outside of school she loves traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Doruntina Dervishi – Grade 1 Teaching Assistant

Ms. Doruntina Dervishi started as an intern at ILG school and joined our team as a Teaching Assistant in August 2022. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from AAB College.

Ms.Dervishi worked at Nini’s Education as a Manager/ Lego Education instructor for children’s courses. In this capacity, she was one of our collaborators in after-school activities for almost two years now. 

Ms. Dervishi has a true passion for working with children and helping them progress in all areas of their development. During her studies, she has held various internship positions and worked as a volunteer in NGOs related to youth and children’s activities. She has also attended numerous professional training after graduation. She continuously strives for personal and professional growth and development.

 In her free time, Ms. Dervishi enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, doing yoga, and watching her favorite TV series and movies.

Elizabeth Zans – PYP, MYP and DP Visual Arts Teacher

Ms. Elizabeth Zans grew up in the Commonwealth of Virginia in the United States. She attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she received a BFA and while living in Rome received an MFA from Temple University.

She began her teaching career as a visiting artist in a program affiliated with The Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

She has taught in Indonesia, SE Turkey, and several countries in Africa in IB Programs and across all grades as well as serving as an IB examiner. Elizabeth is a practicing artist who looks forward to sharing her passion for the Arts with her students. She believes all students are naturally creative and that Visual Art encourages students to become lifelong learners who are inquisitive, keen observers of the world around them. She challenges students to question and evaluate information critically, to seek out and explore the links between subjects, and to develop an awareness of their own place in the world.

Ervin Turici – MYP and DP English Language and Literature

Mr. Ervin Turici is from Albania. He holds a Master’s Degree in English Teaching from the University of Foreign Languages in Tirana.He has received several certificates from International Baccalaureate. He lived and worked in Thailand for two years as a Primary Years Programme (PYP) Teacher at an IB World School.

Prior to moving to Thailand, Mr. Ervin worked in Tirana as an English Language Acquisition Teacher for five years, in the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). 

Mr. Ervin has served the roles of Personal and CAS Supervisor and Extended Essay Supervisor while working in the Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme. He enjoys seeing his students succeed in the classroom and in their careers. He is also passionate about impacting the world and making it a better place for everyone to live. 

This will be Mr. Ervin’s first year at ILG School and he is excited for a successful academic year.

Hasnija Prelvukaj Moesman – Community Education Coordinator

Mrs. Hasnija (Haska) Prelvukaj-Moesman received her university degree and master in architecture from the University of Pristina and she is currently getting a degree in “Child Care and Welfare”.

Mrs. Moesman’s career in architecture was sidetracked when she had the opportunity to work and live abroad in the Gaza Strip, Solomon Islands, and Sudan.

Mrs. Moesman became involved in an elementary school in Gizo, Solomon Islands, that was accommodated in a UNICEF tent after the 2007 earthquake that hit the island state, as a volunteer teacher. Later, when she moved to Khartoum, she served as library assistant, learning center teacher, substitute teacher, and pre-school homeroom teacher at the Khartoum American School.

In addition, she was the President of the PTA at the same school for four years. This experience laid the foundation for where she is now as a teacher. Mrs. Moesman joined ILG in September 2014 as a Grade 2 Teacher. In March 2020, She took on the role of Team Coordinator for Grade 4 during Virtual Learning.

Ms. Moesman now leads our Daycare Program for 1-3 year olds. Mrs. Moesman is trained in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). Mrs. Moesman and her husband have two children. She loves traveling, as well as gardening and spending time with the family in the family home in Montenegro.

Isabel Bautzmann – PYP and MYP German Language Acquisition

Isabel Bautzmann was born and raised in Germany. She just graduated from NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences in Meppel, the Netherlands with her Bachelor of Education. In her study course International Teacher Education for Primary Schools (ITEps) she minored in Inclusive and Early Childhood Education.

 

Through studying internationally, she had the chance to experience different international schools, curricula and multilingual settings in the Netherlands, Germany, and Kosovo. Ms Bautzmann is familiar with ILG’s philosophies, values and routines as she successfully completed one of her teaching practices at ILG in the spring of 2022.

 

Ms Bautzmann is beyond excited to rejoin the ILG community and teach her home language German.

Jovelyn delos Santos – DP Coordinator, DP Theory of Knowledge, DP Geography and University Counselling

Ms. Jovelyn delos Santos holds a Master of Arts degree in Teaching and a BA in Media Communication. She used to teach at the University level in her home country, the Philippines before she moved to teach in an IB school in Indonesia in 2008. She was the IB Diploma Coordinator and head of language of the same school. Ms. delos Santos has extensive IB training and is an examiner for Theory of Knowledge for the IB Diploma Programme.

 

After her BA, she worked as a journalist in a major broadsheet in her country, the Philippine Daily Inquirer. She went on and taught journalism, development communication and language at the University level before deciding to move to international teaching. Currently, she is a visiting professor for the MA language program of Lyceum of the Philippines.

 

Ms. Delos Santos will be coming to ILG School from her school in Cambodia where she holds the position of director of Model United Nations, language and TOK teacher. She trains middle and high school students in the art of diplomacy, resolution writing and debating. She is passionate about developing students who imbibe the values of tolerance, international-mindedness, caring as well as becoming changemakers in their communities. She also received training to assist students in University admissions, college essay writing, and scholarships.

Korab Maloku – PYP and MYP Physical Education (PE) Teacher

Mr. Korab Maloku joined ILG School as the Physical Education teacher in 2014. He has a degree in Physical Education and Sports from the University of Prishtina. Korab is now trained to teach the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Middle Years Programme (MYP).

Mr. Maloku was a former professional basketball player. He has experience as a youth basketball coach since March 2010 and has participated in several basketball clinics and seminars in Kosovo and abroad. He also participates in the Independent Organization of Sport Education in Kosovo (OESK). In the summer of 2018, he was Assistant Director of Kosovo national basketball camp U14, organized from Basketball Federation of Kosovo.

During 2019 Mr. Maloku was the assistant coach of the U16 national team of Kosovo at the European Championships in Podgorica.
